During the windy season, from June to August, a steady ‘Nortada’ wind kicks in almost every day just after lunch time. And this is when we get ready to go out and play with it! We’ll update you about our predicted departure time (usually around 2pm) the evening before your lesson and pick you up at a designated spot near your accommodation. Back at camp we sort out your gear and wetsuit and hop in our kitesurf truck for a short drive to the lagoon of Alvor. After your session we go back to camp to clean up and pack away the gear before we drop you off at your pick up spot again right in time for a well-deserved dinner.

What to expect
We work with experienced and licensed instructors only and try to teach 3 hours per day, depending on the conditions. The course is based on the standards of the big kiteboarding organizations. You will be taught in groups of max 2 persons per kite and max 4 persons per instructor on brand new Airush kites. The flat water lagoon with its sandbanks is an ideal and safe learning environment for beginners and advanced riders alike.
Starters

Starter Intermediate
6 Hours
- All of Starter package
- Body dragging (kite control in the water)
- Upwind body dragging and board recovery
- Water starts (first meters on the board)
Intermediate process
12 Hours
- All of Intermediate package
- Turns (changing direction)
- Riding toe side
- First tricks
Included
We always recommend a course of 12 hours for complete beginners that want to get the most out of their kitesurfing week. Hours can only be increased on the go if availability allows and the great thing about kitesurfing is that there is always something more to learn!
