Kitesurfing Holidays - Learn to kitesurf in the Algarve
Our kitesurfing courses and lessons are appropriate for both beginners and intermediates. Awesome seasonal wind and great scenery make kitesurfing in the Algarve the perfect summer destination. Along with our BKSA senior kite instructor, rescue boat and guaranteed small groups we aim to get you progressing as quick as possible. When there's wind, we're on it!
Our kite spot is the number one spot in Portugal, the shallow warm water estuary of Alvor, a stones throw from the exciting town of Lagos and only minutes from Casa Offshore.
The northerly wind the ‘Nortada' filters through the mountain range of the Serra de Monchique creating perfect conditions between the months of April-Sept with June through to August being the best. The wind usually picks up through the morning until about 2o'clock when it blows it's strongest at around 25 knots. The Alvor estuary is the best spot to learn kite boarding in the Algarve and thus is one of the stops in the professional kitesurfing world tour each year. The estuary itself is adjoined to the ocean and hence as well as a beautiful setting is also a safe one.
What sets us apart is that as well as small groups guaranteeing you get your own, up to date modern equipment, rescue boat for getting you back upwind quickly or if you're renting, getting yourself and your equipment back safely, we also throw in a great pack lunch.
Our kitesurf lessons and courses will cover you no matter what previous experience if any you might have. So don't worry if you have kited a bit before, we'll just pick up from where you have left off.
If you have kited a bit or have finished a course with us, we offer the course and supervised rental option. We can also offer a selection of kite rentals too.
If it's waves you're after, we'll take you to the west coast where the wind is usually cross on/off shore and always has good size swell. Casa Offshore has storage for your kite gear and has a selection of kitesurf instructional DVD's so you can get a heads up on the coming days lessons.
