Surfing School and Surf Lessons

Surf School
Our surf school caters for the complete beginner with no experience to those who may have had a few lessons before and are looking to advance to the next level all the way though to those who want to learn and improve advanced techniques. Leaving  Casa Offshore each morning at 10.00am we embark on our adventure surf school safaris exploring our beautiful coastline, teaching you to surf and spicing it up by practicing on some of the many beautiful beaches we have here in the Algarve.

Surf Lessons
All lessons are taught by qualified BSA (British Surf Instructor) and FPS (Portuguese Surf Federation) coaches. Each teacher has a maximum of 8 students and lessons are taught either side of a hearty lunch consisting of fresh fruit, wholesome sandwiches, crisps, biscuits & water. (Please inform us of any special dietary requirements)

All equipment is supplied (surfboard, wetsuit, leash, rash vest etc) and you are taught how to handle the equipment in a safe environment. For the hotter summer months we whack up a large tent in which under you can chill whilst watching your fellow surfers riding some Algarve beauties.

Our beginner's lessons are taught in waist deep water riding the white water only. You will be taught everything from standing technique's to learning to turn and finally paddling outside and learning how to catch your first ‘green' (unbroken) waves. The latter usually needs 3-5 days of lessons to reach the fully fledged 'Surfer' level.

Your day ends when your muscles are sore or you just don't fancy burning yourself out too much – it's up to you. For those not wanting to surf but would like to come for the ride, please contact us for availability. We usually charge €15 for the trip and includes lunch.
