Hi Nicky, My daughter and I booked in for 7 days holidays with 5 days surfing lessons. The only thing we would have changed about our holiday would be that we would have stayed for a second week. We were collected from the airport and got a mini tour of Lagos from Pete - great for getting our bearings. When we settled in we realised that the photos on the website don't do Casa Offshore any justice, its much more pretty and there was even a lemon tree outside our twin room. As we chatted with Sebastian, Michaela and Sharon we felt like we had gone from home to home. Over the next few days we realised that this was only a taste of their warmness and hospitality. I have never ever felt so chilled and enjoyed such a unique holiday quite so much. Everyone at Casa Offshore goes totally out of their way to make you enjoy every minute of your holiday.

The surfing was simply awsome and our surf coach Bret taught us much more than surfing. We learnt about the breaks, the beaches, the lingo, safety in the water and we saw some of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve. My daughter was brave enough to paddle out the back and I doubt that she will ever forget that big step - big thanks Bret! Im still sore from the laughing but the wonderful hot tub took care of the post surfing aches. I had to put my daughter on the plane kicking and screaming and shes already saving up for our next trip. We can't wait to go back, thanks Sebastian, Michaela, Bret, Sharon, Pete, Frodo, Lani and Schmiegel. If you are like me and read reviews before you book a trip and perhaps are wondering whether or not to book a stay in Casa Offshore - I'd say DO IT - you wont regret it dude :)

Hi Nicky, Loved the surfing and it was an experience finding the beach where the girls had the lessons. We spent 3 days there and the instructors were good and fun. It was nice to move away from the main tourist beaches and the atmosphere there was pure ‘surfers paradise' (could have been Big Sur !). The surf was great even for the non-surfers who enjoyed playing in the waves! Thanks, Louise

Thanks for arranging the trip. The  Surf School  is brilliant.  Sebastien & Marcel (surfing instructor) offered amazing hospitality and even arranged a night out at a local eatery for all the climbers and surfer to get together that week (around 20 of us).  You can even break up your surfing lessons i.e. 2 days surfing, 2 days break and surfing again.  The  Surf   School  also have contacts out there for climbing and sky diving which I was almost tempted to try out.

The drive to Amado beach are beautiful up the scenic hills of  Algarve .  Overall I had a brilliant time and ideal for lone travellers to meet people, adventure and relax.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for an excellent week.  Missing the taste of sea water in my mouth already and have just had a cheeky look at flights in September.  We'll be back for sure thanks to you guys.  We'll spread the Extreme Algarve word and pray to JC every night for sun sun sun!

I spent two days out with Pete (Extreme Algarve) in August and had a great time. The challenge at Sagres is to find your way around and identify the crags from the top because the place is seriously disorienting and most are 'abseil in' so although being an experienced climber, we definitely needed a guide - and there's nobody better than Pete!! There are very few sports routes in Europe that I rate as memorable - one is in the Verdon Gorge and the other is on the Mirror at Sagres - awesome route and crag. There's enough to keep you busy for years. A rope bucket or IKEA bag would be handy for keeping the rope out of the sea on some crags. Thanks to Extreme Algarve and Pete for making my climbing experience in the Algarve fantastic.

Thanks so much again for an awesome intro to surfing.  I hope I haven't embarrassed you by becoming such an amazing surfer in only 3 days :)   I've started 'operation forearms', Sir, and added 20 reverse curls and wrist rollers to my 20 morning push-ups. I'll look pretty scary by the time I'm back.

Dear Sebastian & Frodo thanks for making our trip to Portugal very memorable. The boys' surfing improved massively and even though us oldies didn't surf we absolutely loved the fact they were out of our hair for the week. Hey Seb, How's it going mate? Gotta thank you for a fantastic weekend in the Algarve in April. Its pretty cool that you describe the beach as your office, what a great job! You put a lot of effort into organising our 4 day trip for us including the accommodation, collection from the airport, pick up and drop off each day for all our activities, so thanks again. You certainly know your stuff and seem to enjoy what you do, you had answers for everything including where to catch the best surf each day, to great bars for a night out, good places to eat and any other activities we wanted to try out. Have to say though the highlight of the hols was meeting Frodo. To anyone else reading this, who has not yet met him - Frodo is Sebs best friend he travels everywhere with him and spends his days in "the office" checking out the talent and generally ruling the roost on whatever beach he's on that day. Thanks again mate and look forward to seeing you in September again.

Seb, Just read your blog and saw the pictures. They are so funny i think i just about wet myself. They are wild!!!!! Just wanted to drop you a wee email to say thanks so much, it was such a brilliant week even if Mark couldnt keep up with the pace. Still at least he kept his clothes on....well thats the story ill tell the police and that girls dad if they ever get find him!! The week had everything- big manly bits of metal, a couple of dead/young birds and some serious sleep depravation. Although i think on the website you should state you cant have a boyfriend if you want to visit Lagos...its just the town rules. Mate im still laughing thinking about the week and will def be back to see you guys sometime soon, hopefully around August time. Because it is MY RIGHT TO WALK DOWN THE BEACHES OF ALGARVE.... Take care big fella and ill keep you updated of any war stories or from stories from Pedro the Pedo (Mark) Thanks again for the week mate and ill listen every night as the sun goes down for the soft tones of the Frodo bagpipes in the wind!!
